Keep an eye out this month for a large number of story updates and new postings. I've managed to get about nine files edited and ready for posting, and am still working on others.

Today I've put up two in A.U.   - 'Brothers'  and 'Violet'.

I'm in a mood to work on the place so keep an eye on things over the next couple weeks.

Yes. Finally. A blog update.

Probably one of the last since I don't think any one reads them. Once I get tired of writing them, anyone interested in site updates will just have to check the hard way.

On to the updates.

We no longer have a voting booth - no one was using it.
We no longer have a site search - no one was using it.
We no longer have E-Cards - no one was using them and I was getting tired of making them, putting them and taking them down.. for nothing.


Which is becoming an on going theme.

I am becoming increasingly tired of the lack of interest all of these supposed fans I've been told about actually show, as well as the lame ass excuses I receive over it.

I'm paying out money to keep this website ad free for you.
I'm putting in hours of work to make the site look cool and easy and fun to use, as well as making the stories more readable and enjoyable for YOU.

I personally am just happy writing them and certainly don't need to be wasting my time or money on people that don't give a shit.

Next fall the site comes up for renewal and at this rate, I don't believe I'll be bothering. And since this site is far over the limits offered for the free site, that means it will be deleted, not just dead.

In the mean time I'll continue posting or making changes as I see fit or feel the urge to do so.  Since I do all the editing and site work myself, this can be a very large and daunting job. It gets behind since I do have an actual paycheck to earn and what not, plus writing new stuff or working on art or jewelry is my stress reliever after a day at work, and thus takes precedence over  more work here.

When I created this site it was with the understanding that it wasn't going to be a completely solo job, but whenever there's something that needs to be done, excuses abound and I'm the only one left to do it.  This is why things get a bit slow at times around here.

I'm posting one new story up today that I finished reading through and editing this morning.
It's in the A.U. section.

Welcome to the New Year :D

So far I'm sticking to my resolution to do no more 'new work' until I catch up on the older stuff...

That said, here's the update list as it stands so far.


InBetween - 'Clandestine Rendevouz' is now fully edited andCOMPLETE! Sorry it took so long... we never did find the missing file, but we did manage to finally track down the back up for the messenger log that contained the work.

UPDATE ** Jan.10th ..  A.U. - added ' Angst of the Past' .. sorry it took so long... it's a freaking long file and our web host decided to go into 'possessed' mode the first time I tried to upload it >.<

UPDATE **  Jan.12th .. A.U - added ' MacDonnell's of HawksCliff' & ' Reclaiming the Past' .. both solos' by Skye (and neither containing Saffron or Graves .. for those who  need a break from our favorite couple )

UPDATE ** Jan.18th - Fixed all the Bio & Survey links, plus added in two new surveys for Saffron.
                                   - changed the Nav bar on all index pages to include the sign in button for         
                                     e-cards.

The first day of a new year!

And yes, I managed to get some long over due work done.

I've made some changes to the AU index page so that all newly added or updated stories will be at the top of the page, with a note saying when they were last updated.

Currently two stories in AU have been updated, ' Loopholes' & 'Reaping Trouble', with the addition of one new one, 'Werewolf In Boston'.

I had been planning on getting at least one other new one up today, but Word decided to take a power nap in the middle of my spell check >.<

I'll see about getting a couple more up tomorrow.

I have made a vow not to write any more new stuff until I get at least HALF of the current back log posted up to date.

 Don't worry... there's plenty to keep you going, and Ruex has assured me her new bunnies will wait... and in the mean time she has a few projects to keep her occupied.

I hope everyone is enjoying 2010 so far.... I managed to make it to midnight after enjoying four shots of Chocolate Monkey... and my typing never got any worse then it normally does hehe  Best of all, not so much as a headache this morning Wonder how many of you can claim you started the new year off with out one I know most of the muses can't!

Sorry it's been so long since I've updated the blog!

We're two issues into the newsletter and I THINK we have the bugs worked out of the subscribing system >.<  For all those who have subscribed, if you didn't get an email asking you to verify your subscription, you are NOT subscribed! Check your junk folder.. if you don't see anything, resubscribe then check your email for the letter.

I'll send out a Christmas letter on the23rd or 24th of December. If you don't get a letter from the site by the 25th, then you'll know you're not subscribed. The newsletter goes out on the 30th, so make sure you have things verified by then! If for some reason you still don't receive a verification letter, contact me and I'll haul out my mallet and make the damn thing work for you

For those who would like the newsletter, but think they've missed too much of the story and what not going on in it, no worries. Just send me a note to let me know you've subscribed but would like the back issues as well and I'll send them out. I may 'charge' you for it though... make you write a little something for the article or draw something... or go look up a funny image or SOMETHING! Not saying I will... but I might

For those wondering, the contest I was discussing earlier has been put on hold until the new year. There's just too much going on right now to get things ironed out and finalized, plus this way I should have some of the prizes made so you guys can see what you'll be competing for

As for story updates, they ARE coming! I was working on getting some done the other day, but ended up getting sidetracked. I have a lot to edit through and post though, and some of them are now among my faves of what we've written... so I promise you, it's worth the wait

I'm also going to mess around with the index pages so it'll be easier for you guys to see what's new and what's been updated and when...

If you guys are getting antsy for new work to be posted, you're more then welcome to pitch in with the spell check and edits *L*

Well it's that time of year again :D

We' celebrated our third anniversary of writing Hunter's Prey this month Next month is the website's anniversary... but I've already celebrated that by buying our own domain

As for how that is coming along, I still have the last few pages of 'home' to reedit and move over. The stories located at the hpchaos addie I'll leave for now since they're all linked in and work fine   I do still have the fan pages to rebuild, along with the links page, the adoptables page... and i think there was one more there... it'll come to me eventually

The bios are still being  remade... i tried just stomping the gremlins that keep messing them up, but gave up and started to move them... then i bought the domain and have to move them back here again lol.  Some of the images on the character page are down, but the links ARE still active - just find the name you want and click the spot above it.

And I FINALLY got our FIRST newsletter done and delivered!   For those of you who DIDN'T sign up for it, you're missing out. The newsletter features an ongoing story along with lots of little things like a character spot light, an HP cartoon and a mini contest, all of which are available in the newsletter ONLY.

Now that the bulk of the moving is over with and the 'crash and burn' 'trial and error' stress of the first newsletter is out of the way, I'll be getting back to updating the stories and posting new ones again.


Oh.. and guess what? Ruex has located the missing ending to 'Clandestine Rendevouz'!! Ain't that fabulous? Now you find out the ending to out first Valentines story *L* ... well.. you can once I get it posted *L*


As those who received the newsletter already know, we're hosting our first contest. I'll have the info page up soon and the contest will run until New Years Eve; depending on the turn out.

That's right.. it's been three years since we first started writing the series

Next month will be the third anniversary of the web site...

.. which has now officially moved to our own domain


I still have a few things to link in and move yet, but for the most part I think all the stories are up and good to go. The last few pages of 'Home' are still down, and I haven't added any of the new stuff yet ( and yes, I have quite a bit of new stuff to add in : )  )

You may noticed that the PreQuil index has some stories missing... The Lex Series has been taken down to be rewritten... everything else is there- some of the shorter stories have been merged together, but they are still there.

I'm going to ask for help in checking my links... so please, if any of you come across a link that doesn't work, PLEASE let me know! hunters_prey@hotmail.com just email me the link to the page and a note saying what doesn't work... a link in the navigation bar, the next/ previous link, a story link from an index, a failed image.. whatever.

I'm still working on getting the biography pages back up and running, so the character index is still down for the most part.. I believe, Graves, Saffron, Nate, Lex and Eire's pages all work.. the rest will be up soon.

This month will see (hopefully) our first Newsletter, in which our first official Hunter's Prey contest will be announced, along with special sneak peeks into up and coming stories,  HP comics or cartoons, a special spotlight featuring one character with interview questions provided by YOU, special sneak peeks of artwork/banners/ buttons/avatars/wallpapers or adoptables that haven't yet been made available to the site,  as well as news, special links, and other random fun stuff.Plus, special offers for newsletter subscribers, such as mini contests!

I'm going to aim for mid month ( say around the 15th ) for this to be released, so make sure to email us with your request to be added to the mailing list - we do not sell or share your email addresses with anyone.. this is strictly for our Newsletter or any important announcements concerning the site.

That's right.

I've finally done it.

I have purchased our own domain and am currently undergoing the grueling task of moving.

I'm down to just under two hundred pages left to move... and I've already moved at least twice that.

When you add in the files that I don't need to move located on other sites, that makes for one huge collection!

Plus I have so much more that hasn't been added in at all yet and more in the works!!


It's going to take me a while to get things sorted out, so bare with me. In the name of speed in the moving, I used MS Word to help with a number of the files.... and MS Word HATES Bravenet with a passion >.<  So there are bugs all through the new pages that I need to fix once I'm done moving. Luckily, I figured out how to do it fairly quickly and on a good day can whip through a few dozen pages of corrections easily, and I'm trying to keep as many bugs out of the latter pages as I can by running sporadic 'cleaning' on my template to remove the little 'additions' Word likes to leave behind.



By the way... if any one out there knows of a good program that has all the features of Word that DOESN"T add code garble into the mix when used on a web page...PLEASE let me know!!

More A.U. adventures up !

Thanks to getting a new computer, I had to sort through and transfer over all my work... and discovered several stories that I forgot to edit and post >.< SORRY EMS!!

So, three stories all co-written by Miss Frost and myself - 'Ravenscourt', 'Lost' & 'Death and Life'

Plus I can't remember if I mentioned the A.U story by Ruex and myself ' Beneath the Surface' that's up as well.

I also added in another 4 pages to 'Blood Within' !

Good news though... I'm back online ( obviously) and have a new computer on it's way to me Well.. not NEW new, but hopefully in better condition than this poor old thing I have now...

Tonight I got two more pages of Texas  ( in the AU listings ) posted, so that one is now up to date.
Plus I got ' The Family' posted, also in AU.

I have more, but I'm still recovering from a bout of food poisoning, so i'
